    2. Avoid Discrimination By Beauty?
    3. The age of ladies who are taking plastic surgery is descending. Nowadays many teenagers are taking them as well. They are mostly influenced by the mass culture where the discrimination from beauty can be seen easily. The show hosts are more nice to the pretty ladies than who aren't (They might be just trying to be funny, but they are still showing inequal behaviors). Unfortunately, it is well known, there are many female undergraduate students who goes through cosmetic surgery before finding a job, because they think it will influence their acceptance. It seems that Koreans are obsessed with beauty. Why won't they consider themselves beautiful as they are? I guess it's the impact of the dangerous, scary, invisible power of mass culture that insists that double-eyelids and straight high pointy nose are prettier than non-double eyelids and spherical nose. Yet, maybe these surgery-wanting ladies should stop watching the televisions and take a trip outside, then they might find out how beautiful just the way they are.
    ---------------------------------
    4. *According to an e-Seoul survey, 41.4 percent of teens interviewed said they were “willing to have plastic surgery for beauty.”
*After receiving double eyelid surgery during the winter break in her second year in high school, Lee said she got more confident. Korean teens value beauty highly, and getting plastic surgery is no longer considered shameful or embarrassing. And students who have attractive features gain popularity among their peers. The plastic-surgery trend has also been boosted by the popularity of idol groups such as the girl group LGP, which admitted in a TV show interview that “the total of all the plastic surgery operations the members underwent was 27.”
    * “Mass media and the Internet have a big impact on students in their formative years,” said Dr. Park Won-jin of Wonjin Plastic Surgery. “They are easily exposed to television and the concept of “lookism” [discrimination or prejudice based on personal appearance] is thrust on them through the Internet.”

    2. should state provide people with welfare or not?
    3. one of the korean policy is to make the pharmacies monoply the drug market in korea, which makes us think about the intention of the government .is the government of people to provide the welfare or to connect with the companies ,like the pharmacies to make profits?there is no doubt that as long as the pharmacies monoply the drug market, the price of drugs will be higher, which also bring someunconvinience to peoples life.some people argue that welfare is one way for the state to take measures to decrease the inequality and make the weak people to have a better situation in the unequall competition envioronment .but what korean government has done is definitlly an opposite example for us ,which is the case that that the state will set some regulations and rules to restrict the specific groups of people to get benefit from the state welfare.it is also make us realize that only welfare is not the sufficient access to increase or decrease the inequality of people ,but the organizations and the regulations relating to it ,which will play the main role .

    4. It is baffling to hear that Health and Welfare Minister Chin Soo-hee has virtually turned down consumers’ call to allow supermarkets to sell non-prescription drugs. We have to ask the question: For whom do the health authorities work? People can hardly be convinced that policymakers really care about public health and try to protect their rights.

Minister Chin angered consumers by saying on Tuesday that it is difficult to allow supermarkets to sell over-the-counter (OTC) drugs because of legal reasons. The current law stipulates that both prescription and non-prescription drugs should only be sold at pharmacies.

2.Conflict between Tobacco firms and the Ministry of Health and Welfare
3.According to the survey, it was found out that Korea has one of the highest adult smoking rates among OECD nations. However, unlike other countries like Britain and Singapore, cigarette packaging in Korea does not contain specific information of the toxic chemicals and their quantities. People smoke because they are kind of addicted to it, however, although they know it is not good for their health, they do not know its serious effects which could damage them very badly. However, people have the right to know the exact amount of those toxic acids and the detailed information of the products before they smoke. Although tobacco firms do not want it to happen as there could be a possibility of reduction in smoking rate, it is not a fair decision for the whole society.
4.“Because cigarette ingredients are not expressed sufficiently on the packs, it has been difficult for citizens to understand the hazards of smoking precisely,” said the official.

    2. The huge wealth gap in China
    3. I did a survey among some of my Chinese friends and Korean friends about some Chinese questions recently. When I ask the question------do you think which is the most serious problems for Chinese development, about 35% people think the gap between the rich and the poor is the most serious problem and about 25% people think the political corruption is the most serious problem, also about 20% people concern about the political system problem. Although this is not an authority survey and most of the interviewees are majored in politics, it also makes me want to know more about the wealth gap in China.
    4. When we look at Gini Coefficient, we can find that Chinese Gini Coefficient is more than 0.5 in 2010, which the safe line of the world is 0.4 and it means that the wealth gap is rather high in China. The results make many people think about the reasons and its bad influence on the development of society, however, what I want to say is something about the real condition in my eye.
Most people ascribe the reasons into the policies “efficiency first, fairness second”, unreasonable tax system, unsound welfare system and inequality competition. I agree these reasons are important reasons of huge wealth gap, but I don`t think these are the essence reason. In my mind, the several serious problems are related to each other, the unreasonable political system, the corruption and the huge wealth gap are connected. In essence, I think the income inequality is a kind of opportunity inequality, the wealth gap is a kind of knowledge gap.
First of all, it is a very strange phenomenon that more and more graduated university students commit to the Civil Service Test and want to become government official but not create wealth. In many places, there always thousands of students compete one position. What`s the reasons? I think it is related to the unreasonable political system, the serious corruption. To some degree, it is right that power decide your income.
Secondly, there is also a very colorful income system in China, it calls” five colors income”. White income, it means common wages, welfare; black income, it means the illegal income through corruption, stolen, and other methods; grey income, it is between the black income and the white income and it is very common in China; blood income, it often means making money at the cost of people`s life and blood, such as many coal boss; golden income, it means making money by stocks, gold and capitals. This opinion considers about the legitimacy, moral lines, and it concludes the main methods of income.
Thirdly, the education inequality and the opportunity inequality are very serious in China and they lead to the wealth gap to some degree. The education inequality, or knowledge inequality mainly affected the region inequality and the Binary System of city and village. For example, the most important examination for common people ------university entrance examination, always separate students into different part, and the requirements of different parts also have huge different. Many students who come from big city can enjoy the better education and they can go to a good university even though their scores in the test are very low.

    5. In short, the huge wealth gap between rich and poor, between different regions, between city and village are very serious, we need to pay more attention to it and find the solutions quickly.

2.Go back to the inequal social stratification
3.This article is about the obedient wives club in Malaysia. This club's goal is to make their husbands happy whenever not only food, clothe at the day but also in the bed at the night. When I read this article, I was really shocked because this means that woman give up their right to be equivalent to the man. I don't know why this club was appeared and I want to question do we need this club. According to this article, the government attempts to reduce the divorce rate. And also Malaysia is one of the Muslim countries, so Malaysia is man-centre country. What we have to do in order to make this society more clear and equal. I believe that to make it we should get rid of some ridiculous belief like this ritual. At first, our thoughts and customs which just derived from the old days without logic theories should be changed to standing to reasons. And next, we can make our dream society.
4.Maznah is already involved in another controversial venture -- the Ikhwan Polygamy Club, which was launched in 2009 to promote polygamy. Muslim men in Malaysia can take up to four wives. - After reading this sentence, I realized how dangerous it is if the ruler like government is changed to monarchy. These day, there are lots of demonstrations in the countries which were the social structure countries in the past. This is the one of the efforts towards to democratic society.
